Stranger Things Have Happened
After putting my two babies to bed, I got ready for bed myself. My first two babies. I was so excited, giddy. I almost couldn't go to sleep. Tomorrow would be a big day of skilling my little ones - teaching them to walk and talk and go potty. I know I couldn't do it all in one day, but I'd try to get as much done as I could in one day. I couldn't wait to bond with them.
While I was teaching Helena to walk, Piers was learning to play music. I could hear the pings of the little xylophone. It was so cute.
And while I potty trained Piers, Helena was playing with the logic blocks. She was quite smart and it didn't take long for her to master them.
I managed to teach Piers and Helena to walk and mostly potty before it was time to feed them and put them to bed. They were such good learners and I was so happy. I couldn't wait to have 98 more babies to teach and love.
I had just kissed their foreheads and watched my babies fall asleep when I heard my front gate creak open.
I came downstairs, a little worried for my babies. I wasn't expecting anyone and it was past 9pm. It was a little late for visitors.
The man who entered my house was...good looking? I couldn't tell you as he had glasses on to cover up his face. I felt a shiver go up my spin when he looked at me though. There was something about him that...unnerved me.
"Who are you? What do you want?" I was trying to put on a brave face.
"Never mind who I am" He said in a soft, deep voice. He took a few steps towards me "As for what I want...I heard you're doing a 100 Baby Challenge. I was hoping to...participate"
"I'll need to know your name to let you participate" I told him, trying to sound stern and sure of myself.
He laughed. "Are you a demanding little thing. Fine, my name is Chris. Is that enough?"
I tried to stutter up an excuse because I realized he was a Vampire. Now there is nothing wrong with Vampires, but he just seemed...dark. Dark and scary. I didn't want to have his child. I wanted him out of my house, straight away.
But even as I thought that, I found myself in his arms. He was an even better kisser than Ashe. I found myself wanting to have his child suddenly or just to have him. That much would do me over quite fine.
He pulled away from me and I had to catch my breath. "Are you ready?" He practically purred.
"Yes" I heard myself say "Yes, please"
I should have been a little alarmed. I didn't know this man. I felt like I was compelled to let him join my challenge.
Much like with Ashe, I led him to the shower. He watched me pop inside and wet my face down. I saw him grin and I tried to smile back. I wasn't sure how successful that was. I don't remember much of the actual act, but the jingle sounded, alerting me that I was now carrying baby number 3.
Afterwards, we got out and dressed. I felt sick and woozy. He stood there, looking out the window, his back to me. I remembered a large tattoo on his back. I wanted to ask him what it meant but I never got the chance - or I don't think I did. I blacked out after that.
Next thing I knew I was waking up, jolting up from my bed. I pushed the covers away from me, startled. Where was I? What time was it? Where were my babies? Had it all been a dream?
I got up slowly, feeling woozy. Oh had I drank something funny? I couldn't remember drinking anything though...One thought pushed me out of bed though. My babies. I had to check on my babies. If anything, I had to make sure they were alright.
I ran into the other room to check on my babies and found them sleeping peacefully in their cribs. I stood there and stared at them for a little while and when I was assured that they were okay, I quietly left the room to get ready for the day.
After getting dressed and getting the kiddos up for feeding, changing and potty time, I began to once again work on skilling them. They were almost done with their skills. Just as I finished teaching Helena to talk, I felt it in my stomach. Oh no.
I made a mad dash to my bathroom to throw up. I was pregnant. I knew it. Last night wasn't a dream! That vampire....Chris, he had said his name was. That was much to go off of though. I wish I knew who he was. I went to my computer to do some research on the subject, leaving my little ones to play.
Look how cute and happy they are playing together. Piers' wings seem to big for him though. He's so happy, always laughing and giggling. This toddler hardly ever cries.
I got an email from my mom saying that the man was Chris Crimson, one of old vampire buddies. He wanted children, but he hated committing. So he had come, gotten me knocked up and compelled me to not remember him. Or had tried to. Mom had failed to explain that I was the granddaughter of a god and couldn't be compelled like normal people. Either way, he was out of my life now. She told me he probably wouldn't be back to visit his child. Oh well.
I popped later that night. Even though I wasn't happy with Chris, I was happy that I was moving on with my challenge.
But now that I was expecting, I wanted to hurry up and finish teaching my first two babies their life skills. Piers just needed to learn to talk and finish learning to potty. He didn't seem to want to learn as much as Helena. Piers was happy just playing with his toys and communicating with his baby babble.
I was able to have them age up the next morning. I didn't want to age them up right before bedtime last night, which was why I waited. Helena, the oldest, went first. She seemed so happy when the magical sparkles surrounded her.
She grew up into a cute looking child. She seem embarrassed about her scales though and insisted on wearing pants and sneakers to cover them up. So far, they looked very much like mine but that was normal at her age.
Next was Piers. True to himself, he giggled and laughed as he aged up.
Aw, he turned out really cute! He wore pants like his sister so she didn't stick out. How sweet!
My twins were close, but Piers being true to his Faery nature liked to play pranks on his sister.
"Look Helena! Look! Whats that up there?"
"That would be the ceiling you stupid--"
"Haha! Made you look! Prepare for chattering teeth!"
"Nu-uh! YOU prepare for chattering teeth!"
"Hey! Hey! Helena! Don't!"
"D-d-darn it H-He-Helena!"
"Serves you right Piers!"
This is what it looked like.
I remodeled it in their favorite colors. Piers favors white and Helena favors yellow. Shes hoping her tail turns yellow. Once I changed it up, they loved their room.
Well the next day, which was Sunday, I was working out in front of the tv. The kids came to watch the tv (and me probably) while they ate their breakfast. They were silent until they were almost done when Helena asked;
"Mom can we go to the beach?"
"Yeah, please mom?" Piers pipped up behind.
I stopped, turning around to face my first two children. Putting my hands on my hips and looking at their pleading faces, I frowned a little. I really didn't want to go, with me expecting and all. Then again I wasn't expected to go into labor until tomorrow.
"I guess it couldn't hurt. Get your bathing suits kids. I'll call a cab"
"Yay!"
"You're the best mom!"
One cab ride later and we were there. We all walked off to the changing booths to get changed into our bathing suits.
Piers and Helena headed right out into the waves. Piers decided he didn't like it when Helena kept splashing him in the face though and quickly headed back out.
So Helena decided to snorkel instead.
And Piers built a sand castle.
I worked on my tan.
As it started getting dark, I lit the fire pit and we all roasted marshmallows over the fire, while the twins talked about how much fun they had. I just smiled and tried to listen attentively but it was hard with them both speaking at the same time.
Obligatory belly shot! I'm looking about to burst!
Since the next day was Monday, the kids were at school all day. I spent the day looking at men I could use as Baby Daddies. I found a couple and shot them emails.
Then I spent my day trying to improve my painting. At one point I heard the kids come home. I briefly went out to make sure they were doing their homework. Good grades are important and even if I'm having 100 of them, my kids are going to get good grades.
Piers was sitting on the floor, working hard. He was humming to himself and didn't seem to be having trouble with his homework at all.
"Ugh I hate creative writing!"
Poor Helena. She's so smart but she's like me, not that artistic.
As soon as they were done with their homework, the kids reported to the tv. I found them glued their for the rest of the night. I had to force them to go to bed instead of watching one more episode of Cartoon Planet.
I went to bed right after them but it didn't last long. At midnight I was awakened by labor pains. Ooh...I was never gonna get used to this! I huffed and puffed, trying to keep quiet as my kids were in the next room. I managed to move myself into the nursery at least.
Before long, I brought a beautiful baby boy into the world.
And this is baby number 3, Ace. He has my eyes and my daddy's hair. I think he might have my skin tone as well but its hard to tell with that Vampire-paleness. Isn't he the cutest thing ever?
Ace's name comes from Ace the "Knight of Hearts" from the manga/game Alice in the Country of Hearts.
Thank you for reading and I hope to see you next time. Leave some comments if you will and have a good day everyone :)
