Getting Busy
So I just have to start off by saying, Piers is a great big brother to Ace. He's always playing with him and giving him hugs. When I'm busy doing something or if he just gets to him first, he'll give Ace his bottle. Helena seems to like Ace just fine, but she doesn't have the bond that Ace and Piers has.
But as most days do start, I put Piers on the potty so he'd learn to use it. He's such a good little boy, learning to potty practically by himself. He doesn't fuss much nor cry. He's very calm, which is always a good thing.
He also love musical instruments. He loves playing with this little xylophone. I help him out by pointing to different notes and having him play them back to me. I already taught him to play five different songs. He's such a smart little boy!
My kids have been so great lately, I decided to get them a little gift. Its a little area in the pool where they can learn to surf. I won't touch it. I'm already a mermaid, what need do I have of learning to surf?
This stuff was also put on my property. I was a little shocked to see it. I found out later that Ashe had it sent and built for me. For his kids and kids that would come. That was kind of him!
Helena loved it, that's for sure. She really enjoyed the sea horse. She loved how it blew bubbles out its nose. She was usually a very serious girl and it was rare to see her smile or laugh. I was so happy to see her enjoying herself out there though.
Yet another day, another potty time. Though Ace mostly knows what to do, I supervise him now. Sometimes he likes to hop off without his diaper on. I don't need a half-naked toddler running through my house.
Well I had gone downstairs quick to grab a snack and get the paper when I noticed a stranger standing outside my house. He looked...discouraged. I wondered if he was okay.
"Hey, can I help you?" I asked walking up to him.
"Yeah...Maybe...Probably not. I'm just...I dunno a little lost. There are alot of scents in this town and the salty smell from the sea keeps getting stuck in my nose. It makes it hard to find my way you know? I'm looking for someone and its just hard" He frowned. I did too, but mainly because I was confused by what he was saying.
"Oh um, let me explain. I'm a werewolf. I come from a pack in Hidden Springs. We've been having some problems with having babies lately and a few of the single guys in the pack are trying to join a bunch of 100 baby challenges to up our pack's population, even if the children never even join the pack. Basically I'm looking for a woman named Kira Love. Do you know where I could find her?"
I gave him a cheesey grin and put my hand on my hip.
"You found her wolf boy"
"Oh! Oh good! Can I join your challenge then?"
"What are you standing there for? The bedroom is this way" He gave me a smile and followed me into the house.
We climbed into bed together and cuddled a moment.
Then baby four was conceived on the first try.
I gotta say, I was feeling pretty content afterwards as I lay in bed smiling. Four babies, maybe five. I wanted another set of twins. I was already imagining what they would look like. Perhaps I would get one with my hair color finally?
Oh by the way, this is daddy three. Sherewood Spice. He's from the Spice Pack of Hidden Springs - that's right, he's a werewolf! His ears are slightly pointed and he has these beautiful pink eyes. Maybe the baby will get his eyes? That would be really cool.
But back to the baby rearing business. Ace was having fun with the logic blocks while I was having "fun" cleaning up the house. First order of business, clean out the baby potty. Gross.
After cleaning, I figured I better get Ace walking. His first few steps were so cute! I love how he wobbled over to me. He was certainly having an easier time than Helena did!
All was well until I heard the fire alarm going off downstairs. My house was on fire! I put Ace down, not wanting to take him anywhere near the flames.
Soon the fire was out and I put out the fireplace as well, the cause of the fire. A spark caught on the rug. It was just lucky there was a fire alarm nearby to sense the smoke. I stood there watching the last of the flames go out. I wouldn't light a fireplace again, ever, if I could help it.
I brought Ace downstairs to finish teaching him to walk. Piers and Helena came home from school then.
"How was school, kids?" I asked as I helped Ace to his feet once more.
"Good" Piers said in a sing-song voice.
"Okay I guess" Helena grumbled and they both headed off to get their homework done. Such good kids.
After learning to walk, I figured it would do Piers good to learn to a little bit more about the logic blocks. Sadly, he didn't seem to be taking to them and I often had to help him out.
I could only teach him for a little while though because I was beginning to feel sick. I think everyone knows what that face means! Yup! I'm expecting again!
Bathroom run!
This is the happiest expression I've ever seen on Helena's face.
And its gone.
But Helena did end up wining their game. Of course this upset Piers. When he was upset, he often had the urge to prank others. Mainly his own twin.
"You're such a hot head Helena. Let's see how you do with a real hot head!"
"Uggh! Piers!"
"C'mon, sis, I totally got you"
"Okay, I'll give you that one"
At least they always laughed about it afterwards. I never had to step in because of that.
Well the twins left for school and that just let me and little Ace.
"And then there was a CLAW!" I roared. He looked up in shock as he stared my raised hand.
"And it lived to tickle little boys who didn't want to lay down for their nap!"
"Momma! Momma! Stap!" He giggled. Today was Piers last day as a toddler. When his brother and sister got home, I was going to age everyone up. I was expecting my next child and it was time to move the children to teens and my toddler to a child. I'd miss moments like this with Ace though. He was really a cutie.
While waiting for the twins to get home, I popped. Good thing birthdays were today.
First up, baby number one, Helena.
She let the magic sparkles surround her as we all watched and waited to see how she'd look as a teenager.
She's so pretty, especially when she smiles. Maybe she's going to be a more cheerful teenager than she was when she was a child. Her scales turned yellow by the way. Maybe that's why she's smiling so broadly.
Next up was baby number 2, Piers. He was excited to grow up a little - perhaps he'd finally grow into his wings.
He's so handsome. His eyes look more blue than grey. I think those are his father's eyes he has.
Finally it was my little Ace's turn. He was excited to be a child. More freedom is what I think he was excited about.
Aw look at him! My first vampire baby!
First thing he did as a child was give me a hug. Aw, he's so sweet!
First thing Piers and Helena did was go sit on the couch to watch movies. It was almost bed time though.
"Helena, we can't stay up too late. We don't want to stress mom out"
"Yeah, hold on. Let's just finish this episode"
You would never guess that Piers is the one whose a couch potato.
The next day I got a car, in purple of course. I wanted to teach the teens how to drive. All 100 of them. That meant I needed a car. I scraped together what I could for it. It wasn't that much but I wanted a bigger car for all the kids.
Not much happened till the kids came home from school. The boy in the middle is a friend of theirs. I asked Helena if she liked him to which she gave me a sharp look. I'm not sure if that means she does or she doesn't.
I sat down to watch TV and Ace joined me, a Plasma drink in hand. I had to work on growing plasma fruit for future Vampire Babies. Ace didn't seem to like the stuff. You know what he liked less? The movie I was watching on TV.
"Ugh, Mom, this channel is for kids!"
"Ace, you are a kid"
"Then fine, its for babies."
I gave him a look as he slurped his drink loudly.
"Sorry mom" He muttered and looked down.
I just wondered what had happened to my quiet baby. He had been so sweet when he was little. Had I spoiled him a little too much? I hoped I could figure out a way to sort this out before he became a teen.
Speaking of teens...Piers discovered how to surf. Or that we had a machine to teach him how to. He was out there enjoying himself into the night. The full moon didn't bother him! Maybe that was what was making Ace act so weird? I sent him upstairs to sit it out.
He just played with the blocks instead. It seemed to calm him down and by the time he went to bed, he was my sweet little Ace once more.
The next day while getting the paper I went into labor! There was a man outside the door and he panicked...Just he wasn't facing the right way.
Idiot...
Meet baby number 4, Blood...
Baby number 5, Elliot...
And baby number 6, Vivaldi! Triplets!
Blood is a fitting name for my newest little man. He has my mother's hair and my father's eyes, much like my little sister. He's a mermaid like me. His scales have started out orange.
Elliot and Blood are nearly identical. He has the same red hair but his face, eyes and lips are all shaped different from his brother. Elliot is also a mermaid and is also staring with orange scales.
Vivaldi is the only werewolf out of the three of them. Her eyes are like mine, once more and she has my father's hair color. Shes very pretty and she's gonna stun the boys when she gets older. I'm sure she'll make a great addition to the pack!
Well that's that! Three babies! Good thing she had those twins!
I'd like to thank everyone for reading this chapter. The names the babies have come from the Mad Hatter, the March Hare and the Queen of Hearts from Alice in the Country of Hearts. If you have a name you'd like to share, please leave a comment here or on the forum. Thanks!
Have a good day everyone :)
